Tej Olive pairs soft olive corduroy with a yoke of rust velvet, worked across the shoulders, front and back. On the velvet, peacocks open their tails in bharwa — a traditional filled embroidery — worked in multicolour threads of golden yellow, sky blue, rose, and leaf green, each fan unfolding in mirrored rhythm. Across the back, three peacocks spread side by side.

The silhouette is Japanese: a kimono collar, dropped shoulders, and wide, fluid sleeves, cut to fall softly on the body rather than shape it. A corded tie with tassels closes the front, and two slanted pockets sit at the hip. Inside, a classic burgundy cotton lining carries the house signature — and a small detail, left for the wearer alone to find.

Size & fit

The Japanese cut sits relaxed through the shoulder and sleeve, made to fall rather than fit close. The shorter length makes it easy to layer over dresses and high-waisted trousers.

  • Kimono collar, dropped shoulders, wide sleeves with room to move
  • Just above the hip, almost cropped, true to size
  • Available in XS, S, M, L

Care

  • Dry clean recommended
  • Do not rub or wring the velvet or corduroy pile
  • Do not iron directly on the embroidery
  • Hang to dry, away from direct heat
  • Avoid prolonged sunlight
