Here's Gota Safran, adapted to this piece — the abstract rust, indigo, and cream print reads very differently from the tonal stitches of the other two, so I leaned into that:

Gota Safran is Kantha worked over an abstract ground — rust, indigo, and cream breaking across the cloth in irregular fields, the hand stitching threading through each colour shift like a second, quieter pattern.

Cream and gold Gota lace, embroidered with floral motifs, traces the full front opening. A cord tie with tassel allows it to be worn open or softly fastened at the waist. The reverse turns to a coral-red ground — a different character held just beneath the surface.

The Explorer

Gota Safran belongs to The Explorer — TOLATOLI's rotating space for experimentation, new materials, and unexpected directions. These are pieces made outside the permanent worlds, born from curiosity rather than collection.

Each piece is made from unique Kantha textile. Variations in stitching, pattern, and colour are inherent to the fabric — and to what makes it one of a kind.
